In her new quilt pattern, Kim Diehl takes the nine-patch concept to create two blocks with a rich play of fall colors. Simple Sawtooth Stars frame scrappy nine-patch centers using multiple prints and backgrounds. However, it is the Goose on the Loose block that takes the unequal nine patch concept to new heights. Using hourglass units and corners on squares, Kim creates a churn dash in the block center. Pieced in her Scrap Basket Favorites collection, the Whispers of Autumn quilt shines with falls warm rich colors.
