Calais' beauty is hard to capture in photos. Traditional Mediterrinan pomegrante print is executed on a top quality linen. It has both great durability and pliability. Please note the subtle "silver-grey" screen. Barely there but adding so much depth and iridescency to the whole design. The pattern balances innnocence and sophistication that only an experienced hand and a young heart can achieve.
The base linen uses chunkier yarn which is the signature for traditional block print.
Very heavy at 1.1 lb per yard which is twice the weight of most linen print. Most retail linen print is about 0.5 lb per yard. Suitable for drapery and heavy duty upholstery
